Some of you were wondering if we ever caught a fish on the Hot Tamale Show with the jig we rubbed with the banana. The answer is a big "YES"
The first fish of the day was caught on the jig we rubbed on the banana.
The myth of the banana being "bad luck" is an old Polynesion superstition. For some reason some NW guides have adopted it. I have even heard of some guides checking their clients lunch before they get on the boat.
I simply don't buy into it. I just go fishing and work the best I can at chatching fish.
