THROW IT BACK!
Dang that is a BIG FISH!!!
If I caught something like that... well, first off, I doubt if I could have landed it, but second, first sight of that face, and I would have jumped in the water, if Bill brought it in the boat!
It's scary looking! It's HUGE! That Mouth! YIKES! Get it off of here! It scares me!

I'm just kidding. I think! But-- is it just me, or is it kind of ugly?
It's a joke. It's not real, right?
Wow. I don't know whether to say, "Way to go!" or "Let it go!" It's just so big, it's freaky!

Bill says he thinks the state record was 83, and from the Umpqua, quite some years ago.
He thinks it's really pretty bright for a buck!
I think so, too... but??? It's still so big that it's ugly to me!
I know, I'm just jealous. I really am!

Damned nice fish. I've caught one close, but about a couple pounds less (mine was 58#). They are big fish. But I have an orthodontist that drives me nuts. You walk into his practice (I am his UPS driver) and there is a 29# Hoh Buck mount staring at me every day. That just riles a person up to go fishing. Well, about 3 years ago, the receptionist finally said to me "You think that's a big fish?". I told her how much I loved to fish, and that I've only seen those caught that big, but never caught one myself. She told me to come to back, and to enter the Dentists office. I walked into the room to find an 89# Kenai King on the wall, skin mount to boot. SHEESH. The anal fin was as big as my head. LOL. Made my measly 58#'er look small. That's personally the biggest I've seen in real life (including sportsman shows, etc). Couldn't imagine bringing that thing up.

We got one as far away as Pittsburgh!!
Just an interesting thought, lets see what happens!!

Yep. All straight with the name confusion. I'm sure it was an accident. But, I've been on here forever, so I assumed everyone knew that name was taken.
I mostly fish the Clackamas since I live up past McIver Park.
As for becoming famous, I was always famous. Just nobody else knew it but me.

Scott, the 62 lb chinook was weighed and verified at the NF Nehalem hatchery. You can call and verify if you like. It was caught on 11/2/03. They'll remember weighing it on the hatchery scale and photographing it. It was then taken to Tillamook Bait where it was weighed again. Maybe we should have had the Governor verify it too?
Jennie@ifish
11-10-2003, 07:16 PM
Yip. It's been verified...
I think we should take fingerprints of the fish from now on. Don't you?

Man, 75 pounds of Oregon Chinook, caught in Tillamook, will hit the newspapers in Alaska?
That means it would have to be at least 13 pounds bigger than this one at 62?
