Today I ran my sled on the Clackamas. We covered a lot of water and came up with three steelies. We got our first one right off the bat today, a beautiful twelve to thirteen pound wild hen. The rest of the morning went pretty slow until we stopped for lunch at 11:30 and were blessed with the opportunity to watch a young bald eagle chase down and kill a sea gull for his lunch, it was pretty cool!
After lunch we moved on down river to fish clean up behind the drift boats and picked up two more, both hatchery fish of about six pounds.
The flow is still uup but the color is steelhead green. The temp. today started off at 38.5 degrees and was 39.3 when we finished at three o'clock.
Looks like I amd going to head to the coast for tomorrow. I'll update ya on Thursday.
