January in reveiw. I started off January fishing on the coast, which was and still is pretty slow. after having a few days of one fish and two days with no fish I heard some good reports come from the Clackamas. The Clackamas became my saving grace. Because of the low water fish have been moving slowly through the system making them more accessable to catch. I will continue to fish here into February until we get some improvement on the coast.
My January totals:
33 hooked, 23 landed for 15 days of fishing.
That's an average of 1.5 fish per trip.
Our best day we landed five, only got skunked twice.
We caught 5 on plugs, 5 on jigs and 13 on eggs/ corkies or cheaters.
