A good old saying goes, "Don't leave fish to find fish."

If you know there are fish in a hole don't leave them looking for greener grass. Many times I have seen people leave a spot and then have other anglers come behind them and take fish right were they were. (I've left fish before and then kicked my self for leaving because there were no other fish down river)

If I know there are fish in a aream, either because I have seen them or hooked them or because of others reports, I am going to work that peice of water until I can get a fish. This may mean drift fishing it and then switching over and plugging it, or fish it with a float and eggs and then a jig, what ever it takes to work up a fish.

Before this takes place many times I will cover a lot of water until I pinpoint were the fish are and then I will stay on top of them.

I will rarely park all day in one spot unless it is a key holding area like a "hatchery hole" or fish are realy on the move such as high water fall chinook. And even at that I will not stay all day, I can usually only stand about four hours at the most in one spot unless something it's going good.

Go get 'em,
