P. Sound to Lake Washington

I'd like to make a day cruise from Bremerton across the Sound into Lake Washington to do some fishing there. Does anyone know about how long it takes to get through that area starting from the Ballard locks (then I guess across Lake Union??) and getting into Lake Washington? I thought about driving around to Lake Washington but want to avoid the I-5 traffic mess.

the cruise from the locks to lake washington is about 25 or 30 minutes at 7 knots, you go up past fishermans terminal then thru lake union and then out the montlake cut by the u.w

Thanks for the info Boater. My wife and I like to catch perch for a good fish fry and we will try out Lake Washington as I heard they have good size perch (not sure yet where).
