can anyone help me I have a 3.0L merc and I want to change the oil but I don't to use the merc filter do to the $15.00 price can anyone give me a # for a fram filter or a cheaper filter!!! :help: :help: :help:

I don't think you need a poll, I think you just need some answers.
There must be a bunch of 3.0L Mercs out there. What do you guys use?

If you have a 3.0l Alpha Series the oil filter is 1086 and the fuel filter is 3225. These were right out of the napa cat.
