I read in a magazine that the alsea river is great fishing in October. Is there anyone who can back this up.

I fished the lower Alsea on Saturday from about 7am to 4:30pm. Saw only a couple of fish caught of the hundreds of boats out there. Fish everywhere, just wouldn't bite. I anyone has any ideas on how to get them to bite, I'd love to hear them!

But it's not October yet!
Actually I've heard the same thing from my ex's ex husband. I'm planning on a trip myself. Rode past there on Saturday and didn't see too many fish but lots of boats.
And, found some marie's Shrimp Scent, though can't tell if it has Ultra-bite in it, at the store in Tidewater.
