I've heard of people casting out hotshots in rivers for silvers and just reeling them back in with good success. I'm guessing one would use maybe a size 35 hotshot in a red or orange color. If any of you could let me in on a specific series (metallic, painted, hot tail, and prism-light), size, and color that works well I would greatly appreciate it.

I've had success casting black (Michael Jackson) wiggle warts on the Sandy River when things were slow fishing other methods. I have yet to lose a wart too. They don't seem to snag up much. Cast them quartered downstream.

For me last year on the Cowlitz the BW-29 color of Brad's Wigglers was absolutely dynamite.

I've heard BW-29 and BW-8 are good colors for coho in the Brad's wigglers.
