There has been some nice Sturgeon caught in a variety of places this year. It seems to be a day on and a day off with these fish.
The Sturgeon are very fat this year.
The best places reported this year is at Stink house flats, Front of the Maritime Museum, the chicken coop, and around the Tongue Point area. All of these places has produced fish at one time or another. Some days excellent, while other days didn't produce anything.
Fresh Anchovies and the Jumbo Sand shrimp have been the bait of choice. Some are using frozen smelt and having some luck with that. But most consistent catch, is with the fresh anchovies and jumbo sand shrimp.
Fresh anchovies and Jumbo Sand Shrimp should be ordered to day before. Just give us a call at (503) 861-3693 to order. Anchovies are sold by the pound and have approximately 18 to 20 baits per bag. Sand shrimp have a dozen per carton.
