Mechanic for Mercury

I live in Aloha and was wondering if anybody can recommend a good mechanic. Recently got a boat but suspect some issues with the merc 115 and electical system. I used a local boat shop and was not happy or pleased with the service I received - just hoping to save some pain and suffering (going without the boat will be enough of that for now!)

What are the issues? they are sorta simple machines at times. Sometimes not so simple.

Long story! All of a sudden it lost power. Through reading other posts, it sounded like carbs were clogged. After seafoam injection, replacing fuel system, rebuilding carbs, I checked what I should have in the first place - spark! Figured out one of the switch controller boards was bad - replaced (cha-ching!). Motor runs good at high RPM, but low RPM it sounds rough I've adjusted the mixture screws on the 3 carbs to 1.5 turns out, and played with leaning and richening it up, but nothing appears to smooth out the running. Side note is same problem as other user who recently posted - FF powers off when big motor is in high RPM - works fine if at idle or powered off. At slow speeds I'd swear I'm in a gas chamber (making me think it's running too rich)..

I have used The Boat Works in Willsonville with good results. They are in the book. Open 7 days a week. they had my 115 Merc up and going again in no time.

Sorry to hear it not working like a charm. If your boat goes in the shop you know you always have a ride with rusty.
