we found this net on the columbia near govt. island. one dead beaver and a couple of lures. we told the fish checker at the ramp when we left but i don't know if he did anything. if you are going to fish the area in the next couple of days i can give you the location if you want to check it out to see if it is still there.

can't they mark these nets so we can find out who is responsible???

Take out your knife, cut the netting, put it in a plastic bag and take it to a garbage can. It's not any different than removing yards of monofilament left by careless fishermen. ID on nets is not going to stop poachers or licensed fishermen from losing a few feet of net. ID only helps when a complete net is found in the act of fishing. Even then the owner is going to claim it was stolen. :depressed:

That's sad :depressed:

But a good picture to really open your eyes and relize how much of an impact those "Ghost" nets have...
