After having to work over the weekend I hooked up the driftboat Monday morning for a solo mission for URB's.
After moving due to barge traffic, I was back to the spot I got one last week. Just up river from the 33rd street boat ramp in 35'. About 10:30....BAM....nice chrome one in the box. 25 pounds or so. 15 minutes later....fish on.. this one a smaller dark one. Back he goes. And then another take down, big dark fish 25-30 pounds. Released. Just before I was going to pull anchor at 2:00, Rod goes off. Fish on.....Chrome bright 15 pounder.

So for the day, four fish landed and a nice limit in the box.

Saw a 40 pounder bonked right next to me.

And the hot ticket seemed to be an Alvin with a Flo-Green (Chartruse) and chrome blade. Switched out the siwash for a treble and haven't lost a fish yet. 5' dropper and 5' leader.

Leave some fish for me, ya hear! When will your little girl be old enough to tangle with one of those big hogs. That's when the real fun begins!
See you out there,
