Salmon in the Alsea?

Anyone have any reports from the Alsea River? Considering a trip later this week. Thanks

It has been slow, I have seen them roll in the bay, near the bridge, I saw two caught in the jaws last weekend. I was at cozy cove( 10 miles up) there was three caught high up Sunday. I saw alot of boats fishing this last weekend. I live in Waldport, so I plan on fishing quite a bit. I plan on hitting it this weekend 7-10 miles up.

Thanks Pete. Why are you going to Kozy Kove as opposed to further down?

Yeah, that sounds right. I just got back from there (7-8 miles up from waldsport) and they were reporting a few here and there. Thrs/Friday last week were some good days due to the strong tides, but it slowed up after that.
