Sometimes you just get lucky. I got lucky when I responded to a open seat that Chummer advertised over the long weekend. He ended up taking multiple people fishing over a 5 day span. It sounds as if he did well everyday. Friday we met at Hammond, and along with Fishplay, fished the B10 "area". We had action right away with each of the pros landing fish. We didn't ever see a hot bite , but managed to continue catching, throughout the day. Chummer had a hot day Thursday for Nooks, but we only managed coho Friday. We ended the day with 5 in the box, one unbuttoned, and one released. Thanks Chummer for the great day on the water  , and thanks Fishplay for the additional color you provided.

It's that time of year again (within reason) so here goes. Notice how the gentleman with OSU shirt only has half as many fish as each of the other two? Once again, the Beave's come up short.

Predator pup,

You're right, it is kinda early for the talk.
Butt....... notice the Beaver Nation Gent happens to be holding the largest fish . Also upon further scanning, you will see that the snout of said fish is missing. Guess what!!! I caught the fish with the winning lottery ticket. It was indeed my lucky day.

Red, good job. I fished with chummer Thurs. and you're right, he had the hot bait of choice for the nooks for that day. Seems like you guys managed a few more silvers than we did, congrats.

And the story continues.... took a couple of retired gentlemen from michigan out saturday, one of them hooked into a large tule, biggest fish of his life, about 25 lb. me... a small chinook that I almost threw back thinking it was a non-clipped silver. sunday... this was a different day, had the O.C.fisherman and his coastie brother-in-law on board, we headed for big blue. just before cr bouy... 3 silvers in about 5 minutes, this was the start to a GOOD day, 2 hours and no bites later, I hook into the biggest salmon of my life, I'm guessing near 40 lb.!!! I was shaking after we got that thing in the boat!!! I'll try and post the pic. ended the day with the nook and 4 silvers. By the way, that fish slammed me at 11 pulls!!! A great end to a good week of fishing.

Sir Fish,

When we got back to the ramp, the ODFW steward used a wand on our fish and found a radio tag on that fish. He took the snout after asking my permission. They will send me a postcard and let me know the history of that fish.

Great day of fishing! Fish are indeed a bonus but the company and the boat ride are #1.

Thanks Chummer for the trip. Very nice meeting you Red. If you thought I was colorful Friday you should see me today. I painted my house yesterday!!

Congrats to Chummer on the Biggin.
