The fishing report at Garibaldi is pretty much the same as last week, slow.
Bottomfishing remains good for those going out. Sturgeon fishing is decent, with Easter Sunday leading the day.
No Spring Chinook yet.
The Commercial salmon trollers got into good numbers of chinook late last week and over the weekend. We sampled several hundred chinook that were landed. These are feeders, mostly smaller fish around 6 to 12 pounds. The fish were being caught 1- to 12 miles offshore. These are the BEST troll catches in April since I can remember.
