Great day to be on the river. Now, if the fish would only bite.

Definitely a tough day. We had to work hard to get a single bite which resulted in this
20# URB that was still sporting some sea lice.

Didn't see another fish hooked up for the dozen or so boats within our view.

Would certainly help if we had some cooler weather - but sounds like that's not in the forecast. Sounds like the coast is the place to be.

Garyk, we looked for one like that and never found it. Nice fish and be thankful for at least on. How far upriver were you?

We fished outside the CR around Buoy 2 and found lots of Silvers but could not find a chinook. Finally decided to bring home the coho so limited out ( 3 of us ) in short order and came back after a long day. Only started keeping coho after 3 pm and headed in by 430.

Everyone checked out okay at the docks in Ilwaco and fish and game and state said we had a good day as had most people.

I'd swap my two silvers for your chinook.

*Fish only bite wet hook*

Snapshot, sounds like you had some fun and fast action. I had a couple guests and wanted them to get bit, but we only had this one chance. We were fishing about 90 miles upstream of your location today.
