Fishing Report for last weekend 1/20/01

Just thought i would give you a report on fishing the Tillamook Bay. Started in the middle channel, but crabs were terrible, ate all of our baits. So we moved up to an area I hadn't fished before but would describe it as the flats where the west and middle channels split. We had about 5 "official" bites and ended up hooking only two of them (very, very soft biters) and both of them were too small. There was only one keeper we saw. I think we were fishing Bay City, good tides, great weather, just kinda slow fishing. I think we need some rain to purge the rivers and wash out the crabs.
