Is there anything biting lately? Sticking around here for the weekend and was wondering if anyone is having any luck with Salmon or Sturgeon?

RV,

Neighbor caught a 40lb native right above the I-205 bridge.

Said he saw a few being caught.

I'm hoping the cooler temps and little bit of rain gets them biting.

It's still a slower time for Chinook up here, 600 a day over the dam at Bonneville, but it starts to ramp up from now until the early Sept peak of 20,000.

We started to see 2,000 a day around August 22nd.

It's still a couple weeks early for the URBs but there are some in the area. Try Frenchmans bar area or down stream at Catapilar island. 25 feet to 40 feet. 50 inch leader with wobbler and 40 inch lead line.

Keep us posted on how you do.

I will try and set up a trip with you when I get back from vacation early Sept.

Gill nets will be in the river Aug.11th and 12th (Mon & Tues)for 12 hours. This will no doubt have some effect on fishing on those days.

RV I haven't gotten the boat wet since we were out. Heading on a 2 week vacation starting the 15th. I plan on dragging the boat down to the s coast with us.
