Awsome fish but the story I heard from your wife at work was she set the hook and you stole the pole from her because you knew it was a pig and would not be able to live with yourself knowing she had 2 spots in the 40lb club.Come on,come clean now.Let the truth be told.Just kidding, nice fish.tell her hello from Bob.I wish I wasn't a sea sick dog or I would ask for a ride sometime.Leave something out there for me to catch in the rivers later.Fish On!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was fishing with my wife last Friday out of Garibaldi. We had three hachery silvers in the box and we decided to start trolling our way back in. I told her that if I didn't get our last keeper by 11:00 we would reel up and head in. I was about to reel up and Dee said to wait 5 minutes because we were marking a bunch of fish. About a minute later Whamo. The fish took about 2/3's of my line on the first run. I was a little bit nervous due to the fact that we lost our first two fish of the day due to broken leaders (ok one was because I got the cannon ball lead snagged in the net). After a really fun 20 minute fight it was in the net  . What a great way to fill out the limit. I finally got a "Garibaldi Marina 40 pounder club" hat (my wife has had hers for five years). The only thing that could have been better is if I'd caught it Saturday as it would have been worth $1000.00(derby). I hooked him straight out from the Tbay jaws in 180' on a white hoochie with a herring head (I was out of bait  )at 25 pulls. I think there is going to be a few monsters caught this fall. I can't wait. Thanks to STGRule for the help with the pic. http://www.ifish.net/uploads/231611211.jpg HJ

You're supposed to say, this fish is so big that it makes my 120 qt. Coleman cooler look like a bait bucket....

Awesome fish, and nice story too. Thanks for sharing.

One more thing - send that pic. to fishing and hunting news and they'll post a picture of your "68 pounder" - that thing makes all of those 42 pounders in FHN look like the 25 lbr's they really are!
