Anyone fish near Cape Lookout?

I am going to cast my line in to the sea this weekend out near Cake Lookout.

Has anyone shore fished around there? Any advice? I do not have boat access.

If ya' see me, stop and say 'Hi.' I'll be the one casting into the wind. It'd be nice to actually meet other ifishers.

I've seen people catch sea perch there, but I've never done it.

On the South side of Cape Lookout at the marine gardens where all the rocks
are ... if'n ya go out there you have a *very* good chance of catching a
ling cod or two. Just remember, legal size is 24".

The way I read the regs, fishing in the marine gardens is illeagal, isn't it? If it isn't...... :dance:
