Does anyone out there have experience in raising sturgeon in a backyard pond? Our koi are generally doing fine but two sturgeon died mysteriously. We can't find any decent reference material so if there's someone out there that wouldn't mind sharing their experience, please let me know.

Thanks,
Biederboat

Sturgeon dont do too well in water over 70
degrees.

Call the Animal House in Corvallis, They have sturgeon for sale. Those guys might be able to give you some info.

Check out Aquaria Sturgeon (http://www.worldstar.com/~dlarson/sturgeon/aquaria.htm) on Don Larson's web site.

I had a sturgeon in my pond that only lived about a month. I think the water gets too warm in the summer for them to survive.
