Dont be afraid to look at used boats. You can get more for you money. Take your time and buy one that's big enough for everything or every where you want to fish. I bought mine last year and already wish I had a couple more feet.

Go to the Willie website. Buy that 22'er that has been leading me into temptation. I bet he would take 16 grand. It don't fit in the garage( boats in garage, cars outside. Right?), or I would have done it already.
The boat folks will finance both new and used.
4 dudes in an 18' rig is a tad friendly. I know, cause my 18 fishes 3 just fine. But 4 and everyone needs to pay attention, or ookey things happen. The 22 will fish 4 in comfort and 5 if need be. Thing would look like a pincushion with all them rods poking out of it.
Good Luck.

Just because it is used doesn't mean you can't finance it. Look around at the local banks and see what kind of rate you can get and what they require for a down payment.
What kind of boat are you looking for? Drift, jet sled ....?
I think this has been discussed in other threads on the topic, but buying a boat is more than buying a boat. All boats need service at some point and whatever brand boat and motor you end up with, you'll need service. Keep in mind how convenient the service location is, how helpful and knowledgable the staff is and the probability that they will be in business when you need them. Tour their facilities, talk to the mechanics. Is it clean? Do they have a good inventory of parts? Do they have lots of experience with your particular brand and model? You don't want to find out too late that you have to go 85 miles to get good service or that someone is learning on your equipment.

Buy this one. Looks like a real good buy. I would buy it but my wife is mean and hates me and doesn't want me to have any fun.

I just bought a used boat and used Key Bank. The interest rate was 5.95% for a three year loan. All you have to do is make sure the used boat bluebooks out at around what your paying for it. Take into account that each part counts towards the bluebook (Boat, outboard motor, trailer, extras like seat boxes, etc.) Good luck.

If theres' a "next boat" in my future, I have to think it may as well be something that can take what ever the "Big River" can dish out.....say like....a 21ft North River Seahawk , 330 hp CHevy with Hamilton 212...what a machine.....Jign

I would have to second that choice. Seahawks are awesome.

Have a look at Custom Weld. I'm scheduled to take delivery of mine on the July 10th. I went to their factory in Lewiston and was impressed. They had one ready for a test ride, and showed us the assembly line.
I looked at used boat for a ling time, but never found one that would book out to the asking price. I finally came to the conclusion that it was better to buy a new boat and get a new rebuilt outboard with a warrenty. I'm a big believer in not buying used beacause of depreciation "off the lot", but I don't think this appies to aluminum boats.
