Yes they are still catching (as of Wed). A search will turn up more advice than you could ever use!

Went to Clackamette park yesterday and caught and seen 0 caught. Pretty slow in my opinion.

was out there and it was dead dead dead saw about 3 landed to boats just above the clackamas on the willy very slow in my opinion

Fished 6/17/03 for Shad in OC.
In two hours 4:00 to 6:00 PM we caught 4 shad. The cureent has slowed recently. If you can find more current your chances are better. We fished 100 yards up stream from the mouth of the Clackamas and we saw about 15 caught in the two hours.
It might be better up by Black Point if there is more current.

Seems to have slowed off some, the water temp has dropped 5 degrees I don't know if that has had an effect or not. If you are in the right slot it can still be good, I found that they have moved up in the water colum and real long droppers or a hot n tot type diver have been producing better.
Fished hard in my boat on the Willamette above the Clackamas mouth on Saturday. With three poles, we managed only five shad. I thought the peak time was Father's Day.
Were they early this year?
