Well- well and some say lighting only strikes one place one time. I now have two reason for the baton to be passed to poor old Mofish or should we call him Lessfish. I landed a 18# clipped springer on the sandy today and from the bank to boot. It took a 1/2 hr on 8# leader and I loved every secound of it. This was a bright fish it never broke water however I almost did. Got to love them # 3 hooks matched with a 10' med light rod. This fish makes up for all the lost fish and many hr's fishing with Tilla

Boy when I got that phone call today I thought, OK, Fishalot is trying to pull an old Fishin Eddie stunt here so I'll play along. Turns out to be true. True that Fishalot actually brought a springer to hand in the great state of Oregon. No cheating, just plain hard work. Way to go brother!

Mofish.....BATON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hoboy:    We still love ya brother.

 Way to go Dylan, now we can really say it's offical.  Good job you deserve this fish for all the jarrin you had to take this last year.  Now let's have some fun with Mofish. What are we going to call the end of this years springer season? Would it be the day that they open up the columbia for the June Hogs. Bernie you seem to be the offical ruler. Why don't you set the last date for Mofish to catch a Springer.

There is a pic at Jacks Shack in Troutdale  ,I knew that I had to cover that angle. I also had my Wife take a pic when I got home. It's not a digital camera so you can come over if you want to see the photo or just drive to Troutdale.

Congrats fishalot. Coming over to the light line side of things is a hoot. I have landed more springers and Kings on 15lb main and 12 leaders this year than ever and it is a hoot. Light rod and light line do these fish justice. graemlins/applause.gif graemlins/applause.gif

Ya know Billy, you're right. That fish that Dylan caught came after June 1st. Should'nt it really be considered a June HOG? Hummmmm.....may have to have a committee meeting to decide this matter.

First matter of business would be a sample of this fish. We will need an entire filet for the BBQ to take the first step to determine if it is truly a springer or a hog. graemlins/idea.gif  What do you boys think?

You are working because you can't get a kitchen pass from the boss :hoboy: I just fish when I can, here and there. You know Fishalot can fish here and there, he can fish the clack, he can fish the Sandy,he might fish the Lewis, he can fish from a boat or from the bank, he might even try fishing in a fish tank.

C&E please release the Dark fish Fishing Eddie tells me they taste Bad

I warned the crew, "don't let Fishalot get his line in the water first!", several times. "Please get your line in now!" I restated. " Do it Now, Now, Now", but it was too late. :hoboy: They were dinky donkying around and in less than a minute of fishing they sat there in awe as Fishalot announced "Fish On!". So now it's "I told you so" time. graemlins/icon_argue.gif Oh and to make matters worse, he becomes "Mr only one with a limit" that day! graemlins/berry.gif

Tilla you need to put a disclaimer on your post. Something like {Warning viewers may need to wear sunglasses because of the brightness of the fish in attached photo} Shame on me for saying that
For you C&E. Bernie can catch them at the Falls, he can catch them at the Falls, he can even catch them at the Falls, I even saw him catch one in his overalls.
Thanks for posting that pic tilla

Oh man talk about a broken record. That dang fish is probably 90lbs by now as Dylan tells it. And the test line is down to 2 lb. The fish fought for 3 hours on an ultra light trout pole.

Well, well, well.....Congrats Dylan!! You deserve all the praise you are getting.  Hey, wait a minute C&E, on this committee meeting thing. I caught the "big boy" on the 20th of June last year. Does that make him a "hog"? Well, I guess a "49+lber" is a "Hog"......No, Fishalot is da' man.  The "baton" definitely goes to "Mo" graemlins/applause.gif graemlins/applause.gif

Thanks Terry  The pic that Tilla posted is of a steelie caught in another State. The way he tells the story is right on the money. He told the other guy get your line in the water, get your line in the water NOW to late I had a fish on, man was that a fun day  . I have had a few good days in the last 3 weeks. I am starting to remember what fish tastes like. Any way we should all hook up when the Columbia opens.
Catch and Eat the Salmon last friday is not any bigger then the 18 lbs as I stated in the original post:p .

Dylan:
I have been trout fishing the last few weeks. I forgot what the "big boys" feel like.... can you refresh my memory? I need to catch another salmon. I did catch a 20" Bull Trout...
biggest one I've ever caught.  Anyone seen "Catch and Eat" around or "Fishin' Eddie"? I think they headed for a crappie pond so they could say that they caught a fish (on the King James)  Fishrite

Williams, ya got a lot of nerve brother. I quit springer fishing 3 weeks ago. Been working on the big boat for the ocean opener the 21st of June. Cindy Lou is just about ready to go. I installed a washdown system and a Port side windshield wiper. (why do boats only come with one wiper? ) Should be ready for a shakedown cruise early next week.

Now I got to focus on the fishing gear readiness deal. Lots of double checking to do. Did try to go sturgeon fishing two saturdays ago but never made it. Burned up a trailer axle on the way there. Spent the weekend fixing that problem.

As for salmon, you will start getting reports on the 21st dude. You will get sick of hearing about it.

Dylan please, I was with some kids at the rainbow trout farm when you caught that"18LBER" If I remember you had been fishing the $20.00 pond when you caught that thing. And your calling it a springer? Some guys will do anything to keep the mojo going

Hey Dylan...the rumor I heard was that you had a little 'help' landing that fish? Or was it just a coincidence that Jack Glass just happened to be there when YOU landed the fish and took the picture?!? graemlins/eek13.gif

You might want to fess up before this nasty rumor ends up on the internet somewhere.

Can't a guy barrow a net from a guy with out a big fuss :hoboy: . His clients liked seeing me land that fish on light gear graemlins/berry.gif . I don't need any help once I get the fish on I have watched the Pro Tilla land many fish  and I was watching close. I think I will try lighter line next time out  .
