Hey, guys, how are the winds in the Multnomah Falls / Horsetail area the last couple of toasty days?
I'm gonna be in the area tomorrow and need to know whether to bring the tie-downs for my ears.
Thanks . . .
Tie downs might be a good idea.
Barometer is falling, temp is increasing.
Average wind speed today: about 4 MPH
Highest gust today: 18.85
Wind direction: out of the east
Yesterday 504723 shad rolled over the dam ... that's a lot of fish!
Flow was at 304.5Kcfs ... that's a lot of water!

How do you count that many fish in a single day, in addition to the salmon and steelhead......
I bet the fish windows are so full of fish that you can't see the water.....

Fished up out of the fishery yesterday. Wind was 15-20 most of the day. It was an east wind, so the water stayed flat. West wind would be another story. 15-20 out of the west gets a bit bumpy.
Did get a shot at those 504k shad that went by. Three rods filled a 120 qt cooler in less than 90 minutes. Ended up with about 100 shad.
Oversize fishing was a bit slow. No hookups for us. Only saw 3 or 4 boats drop out all day. That was down in the Horsetail Falls area.
