Hows the fishin been? Need to take pops out fishin...try to find a lake on the coast where it should be cooler. Any other suggestions?

The news forecasted temps in the 90's on the coast today.

The lake has been producing some decent trout.
Even a friend from work who never catches anything did well a week ago. graemlins/eek13.gif
Just keep in mind the keeper trout in Devils Lake must be finclipped.

Its good around the point area. Use Gold ford fenders, (no weight) and fish a 1/2 nightcrawler on a #6 hook on 24 inches of leader. Fish back at least 40 feet. Limits in about an hour. Daylight is best. I have fished Devils Lake for over 40 years and the above set up is the most consistent. Iam sure others work also but this has been the best for me. ( makes sure you completely cover the hook)
