Wow, pretty weird for it to be so dead during the first week of May; water color's OK and its temp was 54f.
Late in this afternoon on the lower Channel we tried a few different things, for a few hours, with no contact.
The checker had no fish for a few boats. We talked to a couple more with the same report. Did see one boat anchored-up at the tail of Coon Island take one on a plug as we trolled past.
What was notable was the almost total lack of fish marked. Looks like it will take at least a day or two for things to turn around.
