What, no reports (other than cold and wind)from Crane, Lava, Odell, Wickiup...???
Thinking of fishing this weekend somewhere. :shrug:

I plan on fishing Wickiup this weekend with my Grandfather. He and my uncle were there this weekend for the opener....yeah, cold, windy but they got their limit! I don't know the particulars...on what they caught or tackle..usual stuff I guess. Grandpa is older than the hills around Crane, and wickiup, always uses a flasher...likes to troll. We'll be in a 20 somthing foot brown Duckworth jet..hope to see you on the water...He did say that there might be a ton of ice on Crane. Dunno if that's true but he said that Yesterday when we were talking about the trip...and fishing. Good luck!

the fishing at Howard Prairrie was great, but the weather was equally bad. We had no problem getting a few fish over 20" though.

Only report I have heard is the one about the guy that drowned at Wickiup on Saturday. As of this morning they haven't found the body. Seems as if this guy and his buddy were fishing in a 10' flatbottom when a wave capsized their boat. Both guys were apparently sitting on their lifejackets. Sounds like a series of bad decisions, small boat in rough water and no lifejackets = disaster. Be safe people, it's still winter over here.
