My guess is the rivers are too high for good fishing. We were supposed to have gone on the Umpqua last Friday, and it was too high then. They have also gotten a ton of rain down the valley, 1.5" + in Eugene & Salem the last few days. graemlins/berry.gif

I've heard a few guys are still catching Springers with the water level being high. It's high, but clearer right now. Fishing from the bank has been good around Elkton. Fish close to the bank using spinners or kwikfish.
I heard from a second hand source that an 85lb Springer was caught up in the fish ladder at Winchester. Not totally sure if it was at the dam.
Wouldn't hurt to give it a go!
Good Luck!

although the water may be high, the river still clears up really quickly, let me know how you do down there
