Springer fishing in Astoria?

graemlins/1zhelp.gif I have been wanting to fish for springers in Astoria just like I fish for Fall Nooks. Has anyone done this? I have a feeling that the bite should be better the closer I get to the big blue. With the peak of the of the run just around the corner, now should be a perfect time to fish the Astoria Bridge. Weather permitting of course. If anyone is intrested in trying this with me let me know. It could be a combo :cheers: Springer / Gator trip. Let me know. :grin: SPACE FISH

When I was fishing with Dennis Stewart the other day, he mentioned fishing for springers on the lower river.

Dennis is from Seaside.

But that is probably close to over. I think Dennis was fishing in the lower river this week maybe next and then lower river would be over.

Maybe Dennis or some of the Astoria folks can confirm that.
