I was up at the mouth of the sandy trolling around last eve. I was fishing the shelf and got into some pretty shallow water when I noticed some commotion up in the shallows. Good sized wakes and splashes. I assumed they were spawning carp, but I think it's too early for that. Maybe nooks messing around, although unlikely. I should have tossed something at them. You never know.
Anyone else see this up there ever?
Oh, got blanked up there, seemed pretty slow around chinook from the guys I spoke too.

They were Giant river Bullfrogs.. they come out of the mud shallows this time of year... you should of tossed a red corky with the fattest night crawler.. fight like hell, taste like chicken!

Bullfrogs are great eating. Giant river bullfrogs, huh???? These suckers would have gone
30 lbs then. Imagine that!! Don't let you kids fall in.
