Had a great day of fishing with my 80 year old friend. We had rain, wind, sunshine 7 hookups, 3 netted and 1 keeper. Fresh springer tonight. We were using wrapped kwik fish. All but one of the hookups were long battles but the fish finally won. The hooks were sharp not sure why we lost so many fish, but the battle was fun and the one we keep was a fresh 18 pounder.

Sounds like you had a great day, glad to hear it. How was the water up there? Was it ripping or not too bad?

Hookedforever which boat were you in? Red fiberglass? I was up there monday through yesterday. We started out hot yesterday but the day cooled for us, we were in the Alumaweld open sled.

I was fishing at the lower end of Ives Island and the current was not bad. I started in 14 ft of water and then moved in to 10 ft. Most of the fish I saw hooked were in 10-12 ft of water.
