View Full Version : No carrots today, just KINGS! (pics)
So my string of days on the river due to work injury continued. Today was my 4th day and maybe my final day this week.
We got in a little late after not being able to find some gas for the hungry boat, but we made it none the less. I took WORLDYME and his twin brother fishing with my good fishing partner Manimal Mike. First up was Worldlyme with about a 22 pound native KYNOOK. When Manimal got the darn camera out of the seat box, the lens fogged and there was nothing we could do. A crappy picture but proof none the less.

Den if that wasn't enough, 5 cent and FISHNXTC next to us hook up.

The weather today was incredible, no top up and basking in the sun. A cold beer was netted and opened and I as I sat there enjoying the cool suds (why does crappy beer taste so good when your rotting in your boat under the burning sun? ) KABAM, I set the hook into a bigun. Manimal is getting the net thing down, and did it perfect. My drought ended today with this sweet mama of chrome......

Thanks all who helped and were there to cheer on the end of a bad drought.
We had a total of 6 take downs with two fish landed, both nates.
Forget the weekend off thing, I am going again tomorrow!

Did I tell you I think you are just awesome?
Anyway... I just wanted to know when you might have an open seat on your boat?

Has it ever crossed your mind to not net them and unhook them in the water by the side of the boat?
They will most of the time reward you with a tail splash in the face!
SG
Wow, nice fish, nice pictures of landmarks too! I know where my friends and I will be fishing soon!
Just kidding! It's not the area but the boat that catches the fish, right?
Congrats again guys! graemlins/applause.gif
Well Slutgoddess, if I was as good as you than maybe I wouldn't have to take pictures of my fish. One can only dream.................... graemlins/berry.gif

We are now going to start driving around the river and every spot we will spot to take a picture. By the looks of the amounts of boats out today there is not really any secret spots. The spot we fished today had a total of 6 boats insight and we caught fish. Don't follow the herd just because you saw a spot on the internet there are many place that you do not have to wake up at 2 in the morning to get. Everyone here just looking for a spot it won't be helpful if you are not fishing right. Just put a little splash of carrot with some CARP oil and watch out for the seals....................Chris

I don't have any secrect spots. I just have the secret carrot sauce that seems to be killing them.....................Chris
Chris by the way, I made up some more of the carrot extract for our trip. I added a new ingredient too.
******, the fish are left in the water while being unhooked and lifted quickily for the picture and held in the water till they swim away. It never even touches the boat. Probably out of the water for 10 seconds or less. You will notice in the first picture I don't want to let go of that fish, I didn't trust the kid who caught it to hold on to that beauty. These fish are cared for and released unharmed, except for the sore mouth and smell of carrots!

Kings love carrots! I can't believe you let the carrots out of the bag!
ZaQ, what was up with the double mints? Too much starch in the undergarments?
ZaQ is right about the handling of those fish. I watched him take pictures of those two fish and they were out of the water only seconds for the pic then he took the time to revive the fish and send them on thier way.
For anyone that sees pictures that we take of nates we never, ever put one on the bottom of our boat. I even have a special catch and release salmon net that is coated with rubber and is very shallow so I dont harm their slime layer. I take this very seriously and I would never let someone that did not know how to handle these lovely creatures pick them up for a pic.
ZaQ and FishnXTC take the same care.
Don't worry Shane, Chris and I have been adding things to our original recipe that is seperating the men from the boys. We should have plenty for the Floatilla. Bobby, how did yours turn out?

Hey Team,
I just broke out my Mr. juicer so I'll have my wife juice my carrots for me. You guys should let your women juice your carrots for you too cause you know all about that amino acid (l-Serine) Kings hate that stuff and our women have less of it, wouldn't be a bad idea.
I'm going to let the juice ferment for a couple of days and add a dash of preparation H before I jar it up.
What do you think, should we see what the Kings think of it? Maybe like a trial run, that way we'll have it all dialed in before the floatilla.
Catch ya later

We need to squeeze as much of the juice out of those carrots as possible. From what ZaQ says he scored some real juicy ones! I tried beating mine to a pulp but it did not work too well :hoboy: Maybe I should get one of those juicers too Bobby! I cant wait to give it a try. Did you add the bite enhancers we talked about?

Shane
I added some positive Ions, that should stimulate a bite or two. You should look into a juicer, you don't want to over exert yourself when juicing the carrots, besides you won't achieve the right consistency, the juicer produces the perfect product.
Just called my friend about his juicer. He said I could use it as long as I need. Bobby, email me the address of that place you got those bulk carrots bro. I am going to have 7 different mixes the next time I am out. Springers beware! I wonder if this stuff is going to work for Fall Chinooks too?
