anyone know where i can find historic salmon run sizes on a yearly basis ?, thanks

The visitor center at Bonneville Dam (Wa side) has a handout with annual counts listed for every year back to 1938. You would think the Corp of Engineers would have this data on their web site but I have never found it.

A publication by Historical Research Associates indicates that the run in 1800 was "up to 16 million salmon and steelhead per year." The first hatchery opened in 1878, on the Clackamas. The rest is history.
