On a recent trip to Safeway, I cruised by the fish counter and noticed something particularly funny..... In looking at the 'whole' and 'halved' steelhead, some were fin-clipped, and some were not. So, I asked one of the butchers, and she assured me that the fish were indeed farmed steelhead. However, she could not answer why some of the fish were clipped and some were not. Any ideas?
