Well, I can say now that I am part of great community and am glad to be here. So in the tradition of Ifish, here's my story. Growing up I had the good fortune of having a father as a river guide and thus became addicted to steelhead. One summer when I was 7 yrs. old the family and I met up with my dad on the Deschutes for a little visit. That afternoon we stopped at a place and my dad gave a good ole' green wiggle wart and said cast as far as you can. Well I did this for a few casts and then realized that my mother was not watching, so I hollered over for her to watch me. Anyhow mom looks over the wiggle wart starts to dig and shortly after something is trying to pull the rod outta my little hands. The fish was an 8# native and just made me want more. Hooked 4 more that afternoon, mom and Papa were proud and I was officially hooked. My dogs name is even steelhead.
