With almost 150 steelies coming over the falls each day, I'm curious why it wouldn't be too advantageous to fish below the falls knowing there are a ton of fish down there just waiting to come over. ??? graemlins/stupid.gif

Would this be a good idea, or do they perhaps, not bite during this 'traveling run' till they hit the santiams, etc.

Anyone have any ideas. Or perhaps, there ARE a ton of people fishing, but they're all out for nooks.

mmmmmmmmm, Popcorn, graemlins/lurk.gif and M&M's!

I bet lots of nooker fisherman catch them incidentally. I can vouch for one IFish doughball who shall remain nameless (Neutron) who recently caught a big native steelie that was pushing 20, while backtrolling for springers above I-205 in OC. Just sit in the hogline but use a smaller offering.
