Broodstock Roundup

I just got back from the steelhead roundup that I won the opportunity to participate in here on Ifish. I had a great time and wanted to say thanks to those who had a hand in donating the trip I won as well as to the guides and all the people involved in the process.

Frogpond (Josh) and I had the pleasure of fishing with Chris Vertopoulus yesterday and managed to put 2 fish into the pond as well as getting to take home a brooder for Josh. Nice, bright fish and Chris got to replenish the egg supply a bit. The water conditions were high and going higher so I was very impressed with the ability of all the guides to get folks into fish in some very tough conditions. :dance:

Today we were supposed to fish with Jim Amick but the rain gods decided to weigh in and for that reason I'm home early. :depressed:

Overall I would have to say I had a great time and will definitely be back next year. If you should ever have the inkling to help out the program I would absolutely recommend you sign up for the next event.

Again, thanks to those who donated the trip and Jennie for running the thread. It was a blast.

Also, I would like to say that Chris is a quality guide and just a good guy, I would certainly fish with him again. :bowdown:
