Yes was on the river with Texas Rig yesterday OC area. Tex had one fish he let give him a spankin graemlins/dork.gif Then he didn't have a sharp set of hooks on his K Fish and two hard take downs then the fish was gone!!!

OUCH!!, stuck myself reading this post with these super sharp hooks graemlins/idea.gif Oh yeah, the post, hey texas rig, i hope you weren't using them crappie hooks on those kwickies, they have a tendency to straighten out when a "real" fish hits! At least the post said you had some take downs, did your 2nd mate put anything in the box, not much said there! :hoboy:

FM2, you said it right! I was along on that fishless excursion also. FishlessEddie didn't contribute anything but conversation. He's my buddy and all but I must say he spent more time trying to get his kwikfish to fish than he did fishing. I didn't put anything in the box either but at least TR and I were trying - we had our bait in the water. It was encouraging to see other people catching fish around us but also frustrating. One guy 3 boats over from us hooked one that took him downriver about half a mile. When he got back to the line he said it had one too many fins but must have weighed about 40 lbs. Maybe next time.

Please Fishisalotwithoutabite! I hope we can put a fish in the boat :shocked: I know for you this would be a real eye opener being you have'nt seen a fish in the boat for quite some time :sleep:

:blush: Alright you guys give me a hard time. At least I got to feel the pull of those big boys and for it to straighten out the hook I think it was a BIG BOY. And Spook was right about Rod not keeping his bait in the water long enough to get any bites.At least I got bites. graemlins/berry.gif

Don't feel bad Billy boy Rod can cracker just like the rest of the people :shocked: . I did see somewhere that hook files were on sale :laugh: .If you would stop pickin the fried chicken out of your teeth the the new hooks they might stay sharp. I heard that Rod was :sleep: in the boat yesterday, is this true? We will all get into the fish soon enough :smile: .
