Pop's nails a big native springer

[CATCH AND EAT]

Went back to our super secret spot after church today. Not many boats there around 1pm so we had our pick of spots. Guess what? Got the same spot as yesterday! Fished fickled pickles k15 BTW with one Sardine and another (mine) mystery meat. Not an anchovie ******. :laugh: BTW, My fish was caught on something other than a sardine or herring. :tongue:

Well Pop's and I were talking along around 5:20pm when he exclaimed "I sure would like a visit from Mr. Salmon"......Wham!!!!! Just that fast and the epic battle was on. :dance: I think it was more fun to watch him get his first springer of the year than it was for me to get that pig yesterday. He was totally stoaked.

After about 10 minutes a beautiful 25lb or so Native upriver fish came along side for a couple of in water pictures and a no net release. What a great afternoon and what a awesome battle and beauty of a fish. Congrats Pop's. :bowdown:

Glad to hear your Pop is out fishing again - and catching. It doesn't get any better than that! Next time he's hooked up, forget the fish - just get a pic of him for us. That'll make our day. :cheers: :cheers:
