Flatfish

The old man calls the other day and says he bought some fishing gear from a friend and wants me to help sort thru it with him. I am thinking a single tray trout box with a jar of eggs and a few Danielson hooks. I get there and he has something like 20 rods and reels. 3 monster sized tackle boxes full of gear. Everything from ocean stuff to tiny trout flies. Now this may sound good and fine but here is the kicker- The new stuff is from the early 80s. Most of it from the 60s and 70s.
I am sort of done putting it in piles. One for trout. 1 for steelhead, and so on. So there will be a few questions on retro gear. Anyone know why I can't catch a few steelies on a Phlueger Trump reel? The bamboo rod will not catch any fish above the mantle. But thats alright. This is gonna be fun.
