As a new member, I am obliged to lend a tale. As we know .... all fishing tales are just that (except this one) We were fishing kings in a beautiful hole in central Alaska and I observed some behavior somewhat odd for a fisherman. Don't even mention that this was my Brother or that we have fished together so much I thought I knew him better. The kings were running from about 25 pounds to about 60 or so. The bigger ones were tearing us up pretty good. I had just watched Steve get pulled downriver by the biggest fish of the day. His reel had been siezing up and this oversized buck just kept cartwheeling downriver until he finally broke him off around the bend. After working his way back up to the hole and re-rigging he waded out to me. I was looking for kings by site and spotted a huge one that had moved into the hole. After pointing it out and offering first cast, Steve thanked me and said... I am not casting to that thing , are you kidding?... looks like some smaller ones down here.

Thanks for running the oars today. I hope you paid attention to the bobber clinic I was holding for you. You gotta love the lonely rivers of spring.

I know how your brother feels. Sometimes at two o'clock in the morning in AK and you know that you are going to take another beating........ graemlins/1zhelp.gif
I'll bet with a little rest he was back after them.
Welcome

Steelie... the bobber clinic was good. I longgg for the day when I can snatch the pebble from your hand. By the way... thanks for taking over for me on that hot fish, my arm was starting to get tired. It is always nice to be able to pass the rod off to someone.

You know, if you caught more fish your arm would be in better shape and you could play those hot ones to the end.
One day young grasshopper you may be able to snatch the jig from my hand.
