Anglers Workshop in Woodland has Izorline Platinum. Does anyone have any experience with this line ? The sales people at Anglers seem pretty fond of this line. Abrasion resistance equal to Maxima but not as stiff, stretch about equal to Maxima ! I did not think to ask whether he was comparing to Chameleon or Ultragreen.Would like to here the opinions of some users if there are any out there. I am considering trying it on one reel for springers. Thanks in advance!

Mike, the Izorline platinum is awesome. I have used it for driftfishing steelhead and love the feel, knot ability and castability of this line. I'm not to fond of the greenish color for sight and the golden color I have is real luminescent, great with a short clear leader. I don't think you will go wrong with this line. Another winner I have is Sufix DNA, same properties and I believe made by Izor.

Mike,
I normally use maxima UG and recently tried the hi vis izorline while boondogging.
While I agree that it isn't as stiff, casts great and is very abrasion resistant, I felt it did stretch more than the maxima. So much in fact, that when I broke off, I got nailed by a swivel big time.
I know, I know, it happens... but I was much further away from the snag than normal drift fishing! I still like it, but I will be wearing body armor next time. graemlins/dork.gif

I exclusively use izoreline in the summer. I buy a 7500yd spool every couple of years and have had excellent results with it. It does stretch out a little quicker than other lines, but it's very strong for the diameter which is why I use it in the summer.

I like it, I Have been using it for about a year on steelhead stuff. Pete at the guide shop in Tillamook (Ifish sponser)carries it in leader spools (with a neat retainer clip for the tag end) for cheaper than a similar leader spool of Maxima. Im sure he also carries or can order larger spools as well.

Not only is IZORLINE a great product but Russ Izor is a BIG supporter of sportfishing groups.
