Tis about time!
Bait of Eggs, on ifish has helped many ifishers learn to build their own custom rods. I've heard great things about his teaching and sharing what he's learned.
I've seen some pretty nice rods posted on ifish that were built with the help of Bait of Eggs!
Anyway, he's now an official sponsor of ifish, and I wanted to give him a hearty welcome!

Thank you for the welcome Jennie,
I hope to help all those who want to become rod builders thru those early steps of building your own custom rod. I have helped several people in the last year and am getting a technique and process down to educate those that have never built a rod.
If anybody is interested in attending a rod building class, please drop me an email at baitoeggs@hotmail.com and I will put you on a class list. I have not worked out dates yet, but would like to have one about once a month or so depending on demand.

First let me say that Roy is a friend of mine, so you know where I am comming from. Second, I want to state that I have personally seen 3 or 4 of the rods that he has built and he does a very good job (almost as good as I do  ). If you are interested in learning how to wrap your own rods, I can highly recommend him as a teacher and supplier. He may not catch many fish, but he wrapps a mean rod........ and he is one heck of a nice guy.........

I have a wonderful rod made by Bait-o-eggs.The craftsmanship is excellent.
Of course when I got it the instructions were that I had to punch out the glue in all the eyes and yes, snoopy bandaids are really the latest thing for holding the reel on.
Truthfully he is a craftsman, and should make an excellent teacher.

I have also seen the quality work that Roy does. Can say if you are looking for a built rod or to learn hoe to build your own Roy should be your first choice. Roy is also a friend of mine and a great guy.
Congrats Roy, I know you have been working on this for awhile. graemlins/applause.gif

I can testify to the fact that Roy can tie a mean rod. I've got a beatiful 1143 that's proof. Now you need to diversify. You've got all kinds of product ideas that ifish members would love to buy.
Congrats BOE and Ifish too..
I am interested in a rod, or a rod buildng session...do you take the IFish credit card?
Seriously, I need a good sensitive steelhead rod for summers...I have little feeling in my hands. (sensitivity transfered to my wallet over the years).
BOE, contact info via email would be greatly appreciated.

BOE That is Great! Congrats on the success of Trask River Tackle. I can also say that Roy is very helpful, patient and willing to share knowledge. I have seen some fishinrods he built (Jetty fish In) and they are like art you can fish with. I also know he is the fastest sandshrimp pumper ever.

Would you expect any less from a guy that was raised in Tillamook. Way to go Roy. Now folks if you would like to win one of Roys rods come to the Whiskey Creek Volunteer fish hatchery April 12th. Clip a few fins and buy a few raffle tickets, meet Roy and you could win. Roy has donated several rods for our fun raisers. They are beauties. Thanks Roy...Jerry
Well there goes the neighborhood.... But seriously folks Roy is a great guy! I have a rod he built and Fishbait donated to the ANWS auction from last year and it's very well done.
Good to see you here Roy
