I am looking for a new fishfinder for my boat. I want someting under $300. I am specifically looking at the Garmin 160 w/speed & Temp and the eagle Fishmark 320 w/speed & Temp. I primarily fish White Salmon, Drano, Mouth of Klick, and above McNary. What are your thoughts on the two units? Thanks in advance.

Im looking for a new finder right now myself. Garmin makes very good products, I think they make the best GPS, I love my GPS but I think they are not keeping up with the other manufatures right now in screen size and resolution on their finders . I would go with the Fishmark 320, twice the resolution over the 160 Garmin.
I have been wanting to but a Garmin 240 blue for sometime now but this week I have decided to buy the Lowrance X-88DF plus with speed and temp (it's the same money) 320 vertical pixels vs Garmins 240 pixels there is just no comparison.
You might read the Lowrance Sonar Tutorial (http://www.lowrance.com/Tutorials/Sonar/sonar_tutorial_01.asp)

I have the Fishmark 320 with speed and temp. Love it. For the price I think it is hard to beat. High resolution and many different features and adjustable graylines. It even reads at high speed!!! Cabela's has about the best price......$239.99 plus shipping. LOL

I just bought a fishmark 320 plus speed/temp. I was very impressed with the features. I started instaling the sensors and routing cables when things went down hill fast. The transducer cable was 2' short and they don't make an extension. I will be sending the unit back.

Why is there such a big difference in the watt capacity between the Garmin 160 and the eagle 320?
