FEAR NO FISH!
03-05-2003, 02:19 PM
This has been the earliest I have ever caught Springers. On Sunday, I caught a 32.5lb Hatchery Springer below Bonnie and had another tug. Monday, Buzz Guidewire caught and released a 28 pounder. Yesterday we hooked 6 and landed 3 with me having the lucky rod. I caught and released 2 hogs of about 28-30lbs. I also caught a keeper of 25 lbs. Buzz went 0-3. Don't let this guy touch you! We just got back to the Tri-cities and when we left the Bonnevile area it was blowing around 60 mph! Have pics, but will not be posting for a couple of weeks as I will be going back to below Bonny!

Yep that was me. My buddy lives in Carson so that is where our salmon camp is. I had to come back for a doctors appointment. Will be back at the Dam tomorrow. We backtroll cuz my buddy has ADD and would go nuts if we stayed in one place. We don't call him Buzz Guidewire for nothing, No joke.

Is the "yellow lab old boy railroad spike tosser to the other side of the river" working the bank up there across all the boats in the line?

Did you buy bumpers this year?

Steve,
It's great to see that you are back in the saddle again!
I'm on a Greenville, SC overnight. Just looking in on the Real World while at work.

If I remember correctly the glow in the dark hooks were homemade. He took jig coloring paint and dipped his hooks in..

Bait Boy is right. Buy the Pro-Tec powder paint, follow the directions....VIOLA!!

FNF is not the only eastsider that likes the glow! It's just more natural for us over here

Hey Steve:
Glad to see your post and see that you have already got into the springers. I can't wait for my boat to get out of the shop. It will be ready next week. We might be heading for Bonny on Saturday too in my buddy's boat (red North River Sled with flames on it. We did really well up there last season. I'm glad your therapy is going well and that you are able to get out fishing, I had a good day of steelheading on a "zipperlip" stream on the coast the other day. Got 2 nice natives 16 and 12. Terry
