I guess I had better get this notice out. Looks like calanders are already filling up. Whiskey Creek Volunteer fish hatchery annual finn clipping will be Sat. April 12th, starting at 8AM. Get there early and have doughnuts and coffee, or hot chocloate, and then go to work. We will have about 100.000 Spring Chinook to clip. We will have some nice rods and reels to raffle of and of course a great lunch at noon. No experience necessary, on the job training. Need more info? Try, jdovetillanglers@tillanet.com --or 503-842-6519, or 503-812-1572 Thanks Jerry

The wife and I will be there Jerry. Had a blast last year. Do fin clipping in the morning and then do the ifish jetty thing later in the day.

Jerry, count me in on this. I responded earlier via the thread on the jetty fishing get together. See you posted info on how to find the place. Thanks. Looking forward to it. Dean

Come one come all it really is a fun day. Lots of great company, lots to eat and drink and you have a great chance of winning some great fishing gear. who know if you handle these fish real gentle they will rember you when they come back in four years. They might even bite your spinner, or what ever. They are the best fish going.

Is there a sign up, or is it just show up??

And how many are going from there to the barview jetty party??

we have about 67 clipping stations going at one time. we need about 12 runners giving each clipper their fish, we need 4 counters, 3 fish herders, three on the salt bath and two in the wake up pool. we need several raffle sellers, food servers, pepsie servers, picture takers, ifish sellers, and the list goes on. Just show up we'll put you to work. It takes about 400 folks to get this done. Last year we did about 100,000 plus in less than 4 hours. It really is a great day. thanks, Tillamook Anglers.

It's a 'just show up' event. Had fun last year. Great time. Get there early else you'll be standing around waiting for a spot to open up to clip.

Lots of folks show up, but only so many can work at any time along the water chute.
