Got it on the first try even. This pic was taken out the front of the tent, we used to get off work jet up rive to this spot and camp for the weekend. The fly fishing was incredable.

I'm going to feel real stupid when I find out it's something right down the road from me!!!

OK, I hit the edit button and now change it to S. fork of the Snake....

I don't think I'm gonna get away with this...... graemlins/dork.gif

I'm going to take a wild guess here...or two...
Either the Imnaha or Wallowa? I'm probably way off, I've only been in that area twice in my life... Just a couple of guesses.

Sparkleboy is sort of warm, named two of my favorite streams in the process but the one in this picture is not the Imnaha or Wallowa. Hint: it can be somewhat of a process to get where I am at......

With your clues I am going to have to say the upper salmon or somewhere on the upper clearwater syster... i.e. Locksa or Selway. Probably the middle fork of the salmon as its hard to get into.

Fishinfool is close enough, actually it is the Main Salmon in fairly low water. I was at the mouth of a side Creek fishing for cutts. Middle Fork is one I've been trying for for years but it's tough to get a permit.

I think I should get a prize for getting the first river on the first try. Maybe a booby prize? I grew up fishing that river driving up from Idaho Falls, my dad I and I scooting up the river in his 12' Sea Nymph before the advent of the hatch of drift boats that now coat the river. When the fishing wasn't good spending the day at Heise hot springs was another trip on that river.
