Ok, I've seen it done and I've seen it work. I've tried it a few times last year but never got it down. Hers the question:
How do you plunk or fish a herring off the bank for spring Chinooks and make it work?
Thanks

Jennie has or (had ?) a detailed drawing that must be in archives on how to plunk a herring. Similar to any plunking techniques ,but putting a round cork float and your herring leader to keep it up off the bottom. I'll do a search to see if I can find the post she made.
Are you going to try it on the Col. R. or Lewis mouth?

I found the article with the drawing on a post back in 2001 archives on Social Security Beach: Astoria. Here is the page for that post.
